How chaining works here
Names chain on the first letter of the last name: if you play Tom Hanks, the next player needs a name starting with H. Under the Classic rule, the connecting letter is the first letter of the last name. In Random mode, a random letter from your answer becomes the bridge instead.

Narrow it by league
Athletes is the biggest category, so you can limit a game — or a duel with a friend — to one league: NBA, WNBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, MLS, Other Sports. It's a good way to find out who really knows their sport.
Tips
Pick one league before you start (MLB, NFL, NBA…) and challenge a friend to see who knows more players from that sport or even one team's history. Letters like Q and X are rare for athletes, so lean on common first letters when you can.
